I wanted to announce that we are pausing Family Sunday for awhile to revamp it’s purpose and redesign the service itself. Allow me to explain.
We believe it should be a priority for families to worship together. A Barna study has reported a 64% dropout rate of teens and young adults from attending church after high school. How we respond to this stat is very important, and we want to create a highly effective worship experience that people of all ages look forward to participate in together, especially as a family. Also, we all know that more is caught than taught, thus, the need for children to observe and participate with their parents in service together. With this in mind, we want to restructure Family Service and how people of all ages interact with each other on that day to better encourage and teach our children the priorities of our commitment to Jesus and being an active member of the body of Christ.
We will still have breakfast on the fourth weekends of the month. And if you’d like to serve in this area of ministry, please contact me. Also, if you have any questions about our decision, or ideas on what we can do in these services as we restructure, please email me. I’d love to hear from you!
