Join us November 21 @ 5 pm

We have filled all our registrations for sides! And, the HUB has received over 170 registrations!

As we prepare, here’s a list of things to keep in mind of what we need to do:

  • Take chairs and tables over to the HUB on November 20. This can go super quick if we have enough people. We are meeting at the church building at 10 am this Saturday to load tables and chairs onto a trailer.
  • Sides information. We are planning on hosting around 200 people, which includes Osage Hills volunteers. We’ve also divided up our dishes to 5 per item to lighten the load. So, if you’ve registered, we’d like to suggest making enough of your dish for around 30-40 people. If you didn’t get a chance to register and want to bring something, go ahead and make it and bring it! The more the merrier!
  • Volunteers to serve food. Before things begin, we are going to slice the desserts and have them ready for people to take after they get their food. People will be let in at 5 pm and we will serve food in an assembly line style.
  • Eat! This is my favorite part. I think the church has a unique opportunity to infiltrate conversations with the hope and grace of Jesus. Let’s join our community in giving thanks. Sit with them, talk with them, eat with them, and invite them to church!
  • Clean up after the event is over. The more help we have during this time will make it go by quickly. Plan on sticking around for a bit afterward to clean things up before we leave.

As always, there’s more room for more helpers to be involved. I’m excited to serve others during this time as an expression of thanks for all our God has done for us! What a great way to Reach Out and connect Christ to where we live. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
